The Indian Armed Forces’ precision strikes under Operation Sindoor have brought a deep sense of justice and emotional relief to the families of those killed in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. The victims’ relatives hailed the operation, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and saluting the Indian Army for delivering what they called a long-awaited response to terrorism.
The coordinated operation targeted nine terror hubs—four inside Pakistan and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK)—eliminating key assets of terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The strikes came in direct response to the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people, including many tourists from Maharashtra.
Asvari Jagdale, daughter of Santosh Jagdale, one of the victims, expressed emotional gratitude: “We were crying with happiness. Modi has taken revenge. Those sisters whose sindoor was wiped away by terrorists—India struck them back at nine locations. Our tears of joy just won’t stop.”
Sanjay Dwivedi, father of victim Shubham Dwivedi, added, “I salute the Indian Army and thank PM Modi, who heard the pain of the people. This operation has restored our faith in the government. Since hearing the news, our hearts have felt lighter.”
Echoing the sentiment, Manoj Dwivedi, a relative, called the strike a fitting tribute. “On April 22, we lost our son. We believed a revolution was coming, and PM Modi would act decisively. Today, justice has been done.”
Across Jammu, locals chanted slogans of “Indian Army Zindabad” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” expressing gratitude for the military action. “The response was necessary. We thank the government and the Indian Army,” a local told ANI.
The Ministry of Defence confirmed that Operation Sindoor was executed with precision weaponry from all three branches—Army, Navy, and Air Force—and was launched entirely from Indian soil using intelligence-led targeting. Prime Minister Modi personally monitored the overnight operation.
“This was a focused, measured, and non-escalatory action,” the Defence Ministry stated. “No Pakistani military facilities were targeted. India has shown restraint in target selection and method of execution.”
The operation marks India’s most significant strike inside Pakistan’s undisputed territory since the 1971 war.
